DOWN TO EARTH ESPRESSO

IN THE CUP:

Down To Earth Espresso is a single-origin coffee from Fazenda Lacador, a Rainforest Alliance Certified farm in South Brazil. Owned by Airton José Magni, the farm dedicates 20% of its land to natural forest, that’s six times more than the legal requirement in Brazil.

The coffee is a blend of two varieties grown on the farm, Mundo Novo and Acaia. It is processed using the natural method, which leaves the fruit of the coffee cherry intact to dry around the bean, and roasted on a hand-restored vintage Probat roaster, Bertha, by the team at Extract.

Using a longer roast time allows the coffee’s natural sugars to develop, resulting in big chocolatey flavours, a hint of black cherry and a delicious biscuity finish.
